ORDERING

I want to make your shopping experience as easy as possible. I offer several ways to place an order, and several payment options. Please choose the method that is easiest and most comfortable for you.

Order online:
Browse our online store, select your items, and check out when you’re ready. It’s that easy!


Order by phone:
Browse our online store, select and write down the items you’d like to purchase, (make sure to note color and size) and call me at 509-484-2095. Please note: this is not a toll free call. Please call during normal business hours 8am–6pm, Mon-Fri, Pacific time. If you get my voice mail, please tell me how late I can call you back, and please include your time zone.

Feel free to call or email if you have any questions about any of the items in our store, or if you would like me to make suggestions or recommendations for you or for a gift. You can even send a photo of yourself or the person you are bying for, and I can help you select the perfect item.

GIFT ORDERS

If the "Ship To" and "Bill To" information are different, I will assume that the order is a gift, and I will not include price tags or an invoice. Please give me your email address when filling out the order, rather than the person who will receive the order, and I will send the invoice to you via email. All orders are wrapped in tissue paper and ribbon, with a thank-you note. I will say: "(your name) sent you this (hat, scarf etc) along with her (or his) best wishes." If you would like me to say something different, please email me when you place the order.

PAYMENT OPTIONS

I accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover or Pay Pal for all online orders. Pay Pal also accepts American Express, Echeck, and personal checks if you have an account set up with them. When ordering by phone, I accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, personal check or money order. When paying by check or money order, your order will be shipped as soon as your check clears.

RETURN POLICY

At Hats, Scarves and More, I offer only the highest quality head coverings and merchandise available. Every item is closely inspected when I receive it and inspected again while filling your order.

I want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. After all, the whole point is to help you feel beautiful and confident. If any item does not meet your expectations, I will give you a full, no hassle refund or exchange. It's really pretty simple:

Returns must have a Return Authorization. Please call or email within 7 days of receiving your order. Your refund or exchange will be made regardless of the reason, but if you are not delighted with your purchase, I'd really like to know why. Please ship your return within 14 days of receiving your order.

This is pretty much common sense, but I have to say it:

All merchandise must be completely new and unworn, with all tags intact. All items must be free of loose hairs, make up, perfume and other odors. Please remove your makeup around your hairline before trying on. Please keep in mind that it only takes and hour or so for cigarette smoke and other strong odors to permeate fabrics. Items must not be stretched out, soiled, laundered or altered.

Items that do not meet the above standards will be returned to you. I’m sorry if this policy sounds strict, but it assures you that each and every item you receive from us is brand new and in perfect condition.

Please return your shipment by a traceable, insured method. When using the United States Post Office, I recommend that you insure your package and get a delivery confirmation. I cannot be responsible for returns that do not reach me. If sending via UPS or other carrier, please send to my street address: 1724 East Rockwell, Spokane, WA. 99207.

If a return is made due to an error on my part, I will refund your return shipping costs and reship the correct item free of shipping charges.

REFUNDS

For credit card orders, a credit, less shipping charges, will be issued to your card within 5 days.

For check or money order purchases, I will send you a refund, less shipping charges, within 5 days.

PRIVACY

At Hats, Scarves and More, your privacy and trust are guaranteed. Your information is secure and absolutely confidential. All personal information will be used solely to process your order. I will never phone or email you unless I have a question or important information regarding your order. I will not sell or share your information with anyone, ever.

SECURE SHOPPING

When you make an online purchase, your personal information and credit card number are sent to a secure server, Authorize.net, using Secure Socket Layer. (SSL)

SSL encrypts (converts) your information into codes that only Authourize.net can recognize. This allows your information to travel safely over the internet, without others accessing it. A padlock or unbroken key in the address bar or at the bottom right-hand corner of your browser window indicates that your connection to the server is secure. Sometimes this padlock does not appear until you go to check out. Hats, Scarves and More does not have access to your credit card number. To view our security certificate, click on the GeoTrust seal in the footer of the shopping pages.

CREATING AN ACCOUNT

When you check out, you will be given the option to create an account or check out without an account. If you create an account, your name and shipping information will be stored and automatically filled in the next time you shop with us, saving you the time and trouble of listing it again. Your credit card information is not stored with us.

 

SHIPPING

Don’t you hate high shipping prices? Those so-called "handling fees" that can add 10-30% to your purchase? So do I!

At Hats, Scarves and More, I charge actual shipping prices. I use priority mail, which means you’ll get your package in 2-3 days, after it leaves here (usually within 24-48 hours). All items in our store, with the exception of hats that require fairly large boxes, are under a pound. That means most orders ship anywhere in the USA, including Hawaii and Alaska, for $4.60. And you get free priority mail shipping on orders over $100. USA only.

 

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING

I am happy to ship orders internationally. I offer speedy service and great shipping rates with no handling fees. Global Priority Mail delivers your package in 6-10 days starting at $19.00 USD (United States Dollars). A two pound package to the UK is only $25.00.

ORDERS AND BACKORDERS

I stock all items in all colors offered on our Website. Orders ship within 24-48 hours. I may run out of an item occasionally, in which case I will contact you via email and let you know when I expect to receive the backordered item(s). I can have most backordered items to you within a week. If your order contains mulitple items, I will usually ship the items I do have in stock, and ship the backorder at no shipping charge.
